Adamson University Student Chapter

Operations Research Society of the Philippines- Adamson University Student Chapter is a recognized student organization in Adamson University aiming to promote Operations Research/ Management Science and to serve as a vehicle for the exposure of its members to the actual practice of Operations Research. The organization engages in educational, social and economic activities for the benefit of its members.

Mapua Institute of Technology Student Chapter

The ORSP-MIT Student Chapter was established to promote and support the education and training of potential Operations Research/Management Science practitioners among the students of the Mapua Institute of Technology and to cultivate and develop the leadership abilities of student- members. It also aims to provide Industrial Engineering and Operations Research/ Management Science related studies which will benefit M.I.T. and promote fellowship and cooperation among the student-members, and to establish connection with other ORSP Student Chapters.

At present, the organization is headed by fourteen student officers who lead and facilitate annual activities which include: IE-EMG Convergence (A joint activity of ORSP and PIIE Mapua Student Chapters); ORSP Sports Fest; Christmas Outreach Activity; Out of Campus Leadership Training and Teambuiiding; Quiz Shows; and Seminars.

University of the Philippines – Los Banos Student Chapter

Our organization is named Operations Research Society of the Philippines – University of the Philippines at Los Baños Student Chapter and was formally founded on February 21, 2001. We are a student organization that’s main focus is to spread the significance of Operations Research in our communities. A member of this organization is made up of individuals from courses that deal with Operations Research, Engineering Sciences, Management Sciences and Mathematical Sciences.

VISION

To promote the importance and significance of Operations Research in our society and to help enrich the Philippine Society via deeper appreciation and wider application of Operations Research and its related fields.

The Operations Research Society of the Philippines – UST Chapter provides its members w/ activities and events that would enrich the knowledge and skills of its members. It exposes its members to the diverse applications of Operations Research in various industries.

VISION

ORSP-UST Student Chapter envisions itself as an expert in essential areas of Operations
Research. It also envisions itself to a more functional networking mechanism with other
students.

MISSION

ORSP-UST Student Chapter, a national academic organization, commits itself to the promotion of the education and training of potential operations research practitioners and to the establishment and development of the link between the academic and business sectors. ORGANIZATION NAME: Ateneo Management Engineering Association (MEA)

Entering its 35th year as a student organization in the university, the Ateneo Management Engineering Association (MEA) has grown to be an integral element of the Ateneo Business Community. An organization of many firsts, being the first business organization to fuse business and social responsibility and to expose students to the finest corporate practices around the country, MEA has maintained its resiliency and steadfast commitment to progress. A melting pot of brilliant students where distinguished alumni have come to pass, MEA has found true success in being, through the years, more than just the home organization for ME majors. MEA constantly celebrates the tahanan in MEA, and in doing so continuously upholds all of its members, who always will remain to be the heart and soul of MEA’s commitment.

ORGANIZATION NAME: Industrial Engineering Society (IES)

The Industrial Engineering Society (IES) of Colegio de San Juan de Letran-Calamba is a recognized student organization under the office of the student affairs. It started in 1993 with the goal of having a body representing the IE course. It embodies the mission of providing IE students with meaningful learning activities. The organization also provides community service and Dominican empowerment projects for the development of IE students outside the academic environment. It is affiliated with the Operations Research Society of the Philippines (ORSP) and the Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers (PIIE).

ORGANIZATION NAME: Junior Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers (JPIIE)

The Junior Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers (JPIIE), formerly known as Industrial
Engineering Society (IES), the officially Recognized Student Organization (RSO) of De La
Salle University – Dasmariñas for the field of Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering,
envisions to spearhead in the integral formation of industrial engineering students as achievers guided by the Lasallian values of Religio, Mores, and Cultura.

Objectives:

• To help the Industrial Engineering students in building their confidence and morale by
mentally, emotionally, and spiritually equipping them as future Industrial Engineers.
• To organize activities that will initiate in the strengthening of the academic growth of
Industrial Engineering students.
• To serve as connection to the national organization, which is the Philippine Institute of
Industrial Engineers, and to other links in the industry.
• To promote unity within the Industrial Engineering Community guided by the Lasallian
values of Faith, Zeal and Communion.
• To hold consultation with its officers, members, and Industrial Engineering Community.
• To work hand in hand with the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology
(CEAT) and the CEAT Student Council (CEATSC) in any activity that would benefit the
Engineering students and other technology students as well.

Founded in 1976, the Industrial Management Engineering Society has always been striving towards excellence, just like the course it represents. Making and training future leaders of the world, IMES has always been recognized for its innovative ways and outstanding people. Representing undoubtedly one of the best courses out there, IMES doesn’t fall short — not one bit. And now on its 30th year, it continues to throttle full force towards distinction.

ORGANIZATION: Organization of Industrial Engineering Students (ORIENTS)

The Organization of Industrial Engineering Students (ORIENTS) aims to promote the
Industrial Engineering education and profession in TIP. Founded on February 12, 1997,
ORIENTS aspires to uphold unity and camaraderie among its members. At present, the
Organization remains to harness and develop the talents of all Industrial Engineering students in the institution and assists them in attaining personal growth and advancement in various fields.

Duly recognized by TIP Office of Student Affairs (OSA), ORIENTS is the official student
organization of all Industrial Engineering students, and is affiliated to the Operations Research Society of the Philippines and the Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers.

University of the Philippines – Diliman

ORGANIZATION NAME: UP Diliman Industrial Engineering Club

Since it’s founding in 1967, the UP. Industrial Engineering Club has grown into a multi-faceted and versatile organization. With the achievements in the academic, socio-civic and extra-curricular sphere, the UP. IE Club has remained committed in its aim to mold its members into well-rounded individuals for future services to the nation. The UP. Industrial Engineering Club is registered to the National Youth Commission (NYC) and is affiliated with the Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers (PIIE), the Operations Research Society of the Philippines (ORSP) and the Association of Industrial and Management Engineering Students (AIMES). Furthermore, the UP IE Club was the Student Chapter president for the Operations Research Society of the Philippines (ORSP) and is currently the treasurer school.

Past projects of IE Club include film showings of Almost Famous and the Count of Monte Cristo at the UP. Film Center, RoadRace, a race around the metro with a cash price of Php16000, and the launching of the Freestyle Campus Tour: Natural High. Also, in line with UP IE Club’s commitment to its socio-civic responsibility, it annually holds the College Jump Starter Seminar, a program that offers free UPCAT review sessions to public high school students, for which we received the prestigious TAYO award last 2003.

The University of the Philippines Circle of Industrial Engineering Majors (UP CIEM) is a duly recognized, college-based organization geared towards developing well-rounded and responsible Industrial Engineers by encouraging academic excellence, developing leadership potential, and promoting socio-economic and environmental awareness. For three decades, the UP CIEM has been committed in its unwavering pledge of providing the best development grounds for future Industrial Engineers of the Philippines. It has been the organization’s pride and joy to produce only the best and the finest engineers of service to the country. Equipped with a very holistic development, UP CIEM Alumni have found success not only in the actual engineering industries but also in the fields of education, organizational leadership and entrepreneurship.
